Materiales

  1. 1.- 1 crochet acorde al grosor de tu hilo

2.- 50 grs Color A

3.- 20 grs Color B

Materials

– 1 crochet hook according to the tension
– 50 grs YA
– 20 grs YB
– 1 tree branch of 15 cm/ 6″
– 1 tapestry needle

What should you know about this pattern?

I used fingering weight yarn, for a suitable size for succulents (these plants are quite small). I recommend this weight or a sport weight.
You don’t need to make a gauge, since the idea is that you do it with the materials you have at home, it will also depend on the size of the pot and plant you have, but keep in mind that thicker the yarn, bigger the plant holder.
From charts 2 and 3, the beginning of each row is made a chain that does NOT count as a stitch.

COMENZEMOS! / LET’S START!

¿Cómo cambiar de color? / How to change color?

ENG: Before finishing the last stitch of the row with Yarn A, leave it unfinished and work YO with Yarn B  (photo 1). Pass it, leaving a loop to finish the row (photo2), the Yarn A strand is on hold (uncut) and the start of the Yarn B strand is hanging about 2 inches long. You make the chain and keep crocheting (photo 3)

ENG: Then, to change color again. Leave the last stitch of the row unfinished again and this time take the yarn strand that was left from yarn A, YO (photo 4)and pull through a 2 loops, work ch1 (doesn’t count as st) and keep crocheting ( photo 5). Yarn B is put on hold, uncut. The yarn strand will be left by the side of the project as in photo 6.

ENG: NOTE- When work double crochet in the row before the previous one (which is the same color), don’t work over the chain that is just below, just pick up the stitch you didn’t work on (photo 1) and work dc in sc of Row before the previous one (photo 2), leaving the chain behind (photo 3).

ENG: Once fabric is done, sew it to the base crochet with a tapestry needle. Design 1 will be sewn horizontally. Then introduce the branch through the top part of the base fabric (where you left 2 chains of separation between doubles crochet) and tie with the strand that left long, to the stick of both top corners at the base fabric (image 1). Finally, cut 20 to 30 pieces of threads of 20 cm each one and join them to the bottom of your base fabric as Fringes (image 2)
